nice modeling and composition. my only beef is with the textures. they look grainy, almost like you went over the top with the 'sharpen' tool. as some have said above, this could be due to the bump mapping, but it looks to me as if the bitmaps themselves are the cause.

if you can, i'd up the blur on those just a tad, they would not look that grainy in real life. you can really tell when you look at the ones far away. we would not see such detail so far away, it would be a little muddier - which brings me to my next thought:

have you tried using depth-of-field? it could look really nice on an image like this and might make it look even more realistic.

also, the tube at the lower left has some real hard edges - edges that don't exist in real life. i'd bevel that cylinder the screws are on to round it off a bit, and maybe even the screws themselves.

the lighting looks good, you might benefit from GI, but i think you've done a pretty good job without it here.

sorry to write so much, i'm just trying to help. - just a few little things to help you perfect this image...

nice work, keep it up...

this looked so sterile in the thumbnail, but as I zoomed in... gorgious rust textures, and yeah, much detail in there

Yeap sbv20....I was tried to use GI, and yes it was pretty cool and looks more realistic..:D (Big Grin)
but damn... it takes more more times to render at this size and huge objects...arrgh...:( (Sad)
So I always use area light to tweaks the lights...:D (Big Grin)

Have you considered using some Global Illumination in your scenes? It would throw short rendertimes out the window for sure, but I think it would really give it a dark, full-of-shadows look that would really make it rock more.

My friend, we need a gorgeous leather dressed girl mounted in an air-bike, roaring in the middle of those structures while shooting back with a blaster gun... Nod

Generic? all similar? bump map too strong n specific details? my god you are blind as a bat sbv. Its almost so realistic it looks fake but the cement on the side looks increadibly realistic if you look closely. Do not listen to sbv. i think thats the most ignorant comment ive seen in a while.

Looks quite good. However I have a bit of a problem with the textures. I dunno why. I think the bump map is too strong. And all the textures are pretty generic-looking and all quite similar. As in no specific details. Nice modelling, though. Keep it up.
